RHA chief executive, Richard Burnett has reacted strongly to the news of an explosive device being attached to a truck belonging to a County Armagh haulier.

“We unreservedly condemn the callous disregard these people have shown for the lives of others. This reckless act could have caused devastation had the device detonated.”

Police want to hear from anyone who was in the area of Silverwood Industrial Estate in Lurgan between 4.00pm and 10.00pm on Friday 31 January and who may have noticed any unusual activity.

They ask that anyone who was driving in the area and who would have dashcam footage around these times contact them as a matter of extreme urgency.

Contact police on the non-emergency number 101. Alternatively, call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. It’s 100 percent anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.
