Prominent economist to give keynote address at Logistics UK’s finance forum

As logistics operators face shifting global trade dynamics, evolving regulation and rising cost challenges, Logistics UK’s Finance Forum 2026 – taking place in London on 9 July – will provide practical insight for the sector on how to navigate mounting economic uncertainty and operational pressures.

Prominent economist Vicky Pryce, Chief Economic Adviser at CEBR and Visiting Professor at King’s College London has been announced as the keynote speaker for the event, which will provide decision-makers with the intelligence and connections needed to drive productivity and unlock efficiency gains.

Ms Pryce formerly served as Joint Head of the UK Government Economic Service and a partner and chief economist at KPMG following senior positions in banking and the energy sector. She is also a Fellow of the Royal Economic Society and the Society for Professional Economists.

Logistics UK’s Chief Executive Ben Fletcher said: “At Logistics UK, we pride ourselves on delivering quality events that provide real value and practical insights for attendees, and our annual Finance Forum is no exception.

“This year’s Finance Forum will be data-rich, giving logistics businesses a wider picture of the UK economy, the state of global trade and, crucially, the information they need to make investment and planning decisions.

We’re delighted to welcome Ms Pryce as our keynote speaker, and her experience and insights will be invaluable for logistics operators managing their businesses in the current volatile conditions.”

Alongside Ms Pryce, the speaker lineup hosts a wealth of knowledge and experience, including Logistics UK’s President Phil Roe, Deputy Director of Policy Sarah Watkins and Head of Trade James Mills, as well as speakers from RPGCC, Pass Logistics, HSBC and more.

Logistics UK’s Finance Forum is taking place on 9 July at Hallam Conference Centre, London. For more information,  register for the event here
