For the fifth year running, and to celebrate TIP’s 50th anniversary year, TIP Trailer Services is supporting a 50-strong cycling team from the UK and Ireland transport industries to raise monies for the Stoke based charity Donna Louise Trust. Having previously raised almost £150,000 from previous events, this year’s target is a further £50,000.

On Wednesday 16th May 2018, the 50 cyclists began a gruelling 3-day cycle challenge starting from Barcelona and finishing at the iconic Mestalla stadium in Valencia. The journey will cover more than 400kms and as usual, the team will be an ‘eclectic’ mix of TIP employees, loyal customers and supportive partners.

TIP Trailer Services, Managing Director, Mike Furnival said, “In TIP’s 50th year of business we are aiming for the 50 riders to raise a minimum of £50,000 for the Donna Louise Trust, who provide amazing care for terminally ill children and their families. This year, we are attempting to raise essential donations for an additional wing to cope with the extra demand for this inspiring community facility.”

Mike continues, “We’ve had fantastic support from all corners of the transport industry in supplying both team members and we genuinely welcome any sponsorship for the charity that relies on attracting private sponsorship for the successful running of its operations.”

“There are a varied range of abilities from the Chris Froome’s through to the Johnny Vegas’s in this year’s team, so help in supporting this hugely deserving charity would be much appreciated. Simply just a ‘dink’ on the link below and it will guide you to our donation page. Many thanks in advance for everyone’s extreme kindness, the support from the UK and Ireland transport industries is massively appreciated by us all,” added Mike Furnival.
