Road closure on A1
The southbound carriageway of the A1 in North Yorkshire will be closed overnight this weekend to allow the Highways Agency to complete bridge demolition works, as part of the motorway upgrade scheme between Dishforth and Leeming.
Slip road upgrades on M53
Work to make it easier for pedestrians and wheelchair users to cross slip roads at the M53 junction 5 near Eastham, Wirral, starts on Monday 13 September.
M62 Junction 33 to 34 overnight carriageway repairs
The Highways Agency will begin work to renew parts of the M62 carriageway between Junction 33 and 34 near Selby. Repairs are required where rutting has occurred to the road surface, road markings and road studs will also be replaced.
New Technology going live in North West
State-of-the-art motorway message signs have been switched on by the Highways Agency along the M6 in Cumbria and are being installed in Lancashire this week, providing earlier warning of incidents and bad weather to drivers using the motorway.
