WTTL, a leading provider of professional transport training and driver development, has expanded its fleet with the delivery of an additional six Urban Box trailers from Krone Trailer UK.
This latest acquisition brings the total number of Krone trailers in WTTL’s vehicle training fleet to seven and, says WTTL, represents another major milestone in the company’s strategic investment in high-quality, industry-relevant equipment.
Operating from two depots —Bristol and Devizes—WTTL runs a fleet of six articulated vehicles and employs a team of 13 full-time trainers, to deliver a full range of vehicle, classroom and MHE courses for commercial drivers, transport managers, and fleet owners.
“This new delivery marks the continuation of our ongoing fleet expansion,” says Jordan Rees, Operations Manager at WTTL. “We need high-specification trailers that showcase exactly what professionals can expect to be working with in a typical transport operation and in this regard, the trailers tick all the boxes. Plus, the attention to detail and quality finish is truly exceptional.”
The new tandem axle Urban Box trailers have an overall length of approx. 11000 mm and an internal height of 2715 mm. A pull-out rear ladder is fitted to enable easy and safe access.
For operational safety and proactive maintenance, the trailers are fitted with KRONE Smart Tyre Monitoring, fully compliant with ECE R141, providing real-time tyre pressure and temperature data.
The trailer flooring is constructed from 30 mm, phenolic-coated plywood, designed to handle forklift axle loads up to 7,000 kg, in accordance with EN 283 standards. The floor includes premium sealing, with waterproofed and sectionalised areas for improved resilience and durability.
In keeping with WTTL’s distinctive vehicle livery, the trailers’ sides are hand-painted in Honda metallic blue, while for ensured longevity the chassis are powder-coated in ultramarine blue. Krone’s 10-year anti-rust warranty further underscores the build quality.
At the rear, the trailers are fitted with container-style steel doors with replaceable door seals. These include integrated flush-mounted locks with one-hand operation, for enhanced security and ease of use.
All six trailers are fitted with KRONE Smart Collect Telematics a smart system offering real-time location tracking, error messages for the braking system, operating data analytics, door control, coupling status updates, and WLAN connectivity.
“The decision to partner with Krone was straightforward,” adds Jordan Rees. “Their commitment to quality aligns perfectly with our own values, and these trailers help us deliver the highest possible training standards. With this latest delivery, WTTL continues to prioritise quality, innovation, and customer-focused service within its training and transport operations.”
WTTL course qualifications include driver CPC, ADR and transport manager CPC, plus RTITB and WTTL accreditations for all types of lifting equipment. WTTL and ALLMI accreditations can be awarded for lorry-mounted crane training.
