Leading truck and bus manufacturer MAN Truck & Bus UK is supplying Lincolnshire based Freightmaster with four new TGX Extras as it looks to create a single marque fleet.

Transport director Gary Lloyd explained: “We run 12 trucks in total and all but one is MAN. I like to see uniformity in the fleet and I do think MAN is a quality marque, they are not over stylised and are simply good no-nonsense vehicles.

“We have been running MAN since 2004, when we had our first vehicle through TopUsed and we have graduated from there to having new trucks.

“We specialise in concrete deliveries, particularly taking precast concrete panels to high-end projects in London, such as the Olympic Park, Wembley and currently the new Tottenham Hotspur ground so we need vehicles we can take into those areas.”

He added: “In addition to simply liking the trucks we have always enjoyed great support and service from the local dealers, DSV in Immingham, and HRVS in Scunthorpe and it eases our operations knowing that we have the repair and maintenance taken care of.”

MAN sales executive Sam Jeffery said: “The vehicles are being supplied on a five-year contract hire and come with a gold standard repair and maintenance package, allowing the customer total peace of mind.

“We are delighted that Gary and Freightmaster rate MAN so highly and recognise that they deliver excellent economy and quality and look forward to continued business with them.”

Freightmaster, which has sites in both Kirton Lindsey and Immingham in North Lincolnshire, is FORS accredited and ADR regulated for the carrying of hazardous cargo and also holds a waste carriers’ license.
