FTA the only business organisation representing all of the logistics sector, is celebrating the 50th anniversaryof its shop, which was launched in April 1970.Shopfta has evolved with the needs of logistics businesses to provide a one-stop shop for compliance and safety products across multiple modes of transport.

Samantha Law, General Manager of Shop and Operations at FTA comments: “Shopfta has been setting the standard for essential and the very latest safety and compliance products for 50 years; we are so pleased to celebrate a half-century in operation, delivering the best possible service to our customers. From selling just a handful of products via fax or telephone at the launch of the shop in 1970, to the 1,500 compliance items now available to purchase today at the click of a button, Shopfta has evolved with the needs of transport operators across multiple modes of transport.”

To mark the occasion, Shopfta has produced a range of limited-edition commemorative mini trucks; customers spending more than £500 in one order will receive this gift with their delivery, while stocks last. With FTA rebranding to Logistics UK later in the year, the truck will feature the organisation’s new logo.

Ms Law continues: “Despite 50 years in operation and an ever-evolving product range, the values Shopfta was built on remain in place: exceptional quality, outstanding customer service and up-to-date products. And as the demands placed on logistics businesses continue to change – from the UK’s departure from the EU to the adoption of alternatively-fuelled vehicles – FTA has the expertise to help its customers through these transitions; we will ensure our products remain relevant.”
