The Department of Transport in Ireland is set to establish a Road Freight Forum with representatives from relevant Government Departments, agencies and the haulage, freight distribution and logistics sector, as part of its “Road Haulage Strategy 2022-2031”.

The Forum is envisaged to meet three times a year, although extraordinary meetings could also be organised in response to crisis events.

It will play a central role in facilitating the implementation of this Strategy, leading collaboration among stakeholders on relevant actions, reviewing action outcomes and formulating new actions and priorities consistent with the policy aims of the strategy, as needed.
