Leading express palletised distribution network Palletforce has further strengthened its service offering across London with the addition of its third new member in as many months.

Multimodal logistics company Circle Express has become the latest member of the growing Palletforce network and will cover the West London area. Palletforce’s ongoing investment in its SuperHub, technology and member support team were key factors in the decision by Circle Express to come onboard.

Alongside UK Freight Masters and QTR Transport, both member businesses owned and operated by Palletforce, the network continues to bolster its services across the capital. Announcements regarding further new members are also expected in the coming weeks.

Circle Express becomes the third member to join the Palletforce ranks this year as part of the network’s recruitment drive to secure the best-performing member companies in each postcode. Sheffield-based Andy Davies Transport and Shakespeare Transport of Maidstone have already turned to Palletforce in 2017, buoyed by the company’s continual investment in its infrastructure and member network.

One of the country’s first specialist air freight distributors, Circle Express runs a fleet of 300 vehicles from strategically-located airport depots at London Heathrow, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds Bradford and Exeter.

Over the last 40 years the company has developed a diverse distribution portfolio servicing all sectors of business and industry, including a specialist division dedicated to the transport of hazardous goods such as radioactive materials, explosives, and firearms.

In 2016, a majority shareholding in Circle Express was acquired by Rico Logistics, itself part of the global TVS Logistics Group.

By joining Palletforce, the company, based in West Drayton, becomes part of a 90-strong network of highly-respected transport companies providing logistics solutions across the UK, Europe and beyond.

Managing director Tom Ryan said: “Joining the UK’s leading distribution network strengthens our own position within a growing market, and the prospect of being able to offer guaranteed next-day delivery reinforces our reputation as a one-stop solution for freight forwarders.

“As a founder member of Allnet, an alliance of leading European networks, Palletforce is already a major presence on the continent, and we see this as being of huge strategic benefit for Circle Express going forward.”

Palletforce chief executive officer Michael Conroy said: “Palletforce is constantly investing in its network to enable our members to grow and the fantastic addition of Circle Express allows us to reinforce our services across London.

“Circle Express is a major player in the UK logistics industry, with a deserved reputation for first-class service, and they will be a valuable addition to the network at a time of major expansion and investment in the network.”
