Waberer’s International orders 1,000 DAF trucks

Waberer’s International Pte. Co., one of Europe’s largest road transport companies has acquired 1,000 new DAF CF and XF trucks to renew its fleet. The order was signed at the IAA exhibition in Hanover by Waberer’s International Chairman/CEO György Wáberer and Ron Bonsen, member of the DAF Board of Management and responsible for Marketing & Sales. Delivery of the vehicles will take place this and next year. As a result of the new order, nearly half of Waberer’s fleet of 3,300 units will consist of DAF trucks. Continue reading

Skilled drivers can reduce fuel consumption by up to 10 per cent

By small means, truck drivers can make a big difference to fuel consumption and save money for their haulage company. This was demonstrated by Christian Scheiflinger from Austria who, thanks to a well-planned driving, took victory in the world finals in Volvo Trucks’ Global Drivers’ Fuel Challenge 2014, held last Friday in Gothenburg, Sweden. World’s most fuel-efficient driver title up for grabs

A total of 23 drivers from almost the same number of countries will be taking part in Volvo Trucks’ Global Drivers’ Fuel Challenge Final on Friday September 19th, where they will be competing against each other to find out who can drive most fuel-efficiently.
