New truck toll in Latvia

Latvia has introduced a truck toll on its extensive 3,500 km motorway. The vignette toll, which came into effect on July 1 applies to domestic and foreign vehicles. The time-based charge has a tiered price structure: for trucks from 3.5 to 12 tonnes and for trucks over 12 tonnes permissible total weight.
