Citroën’s October LCV sales continue the Company’s September success. During October, Citroën further increased its share of the LCV market to 10.62%, one of the highest results ever – with 1,641 units registered during the month.
Robert Handyside, Citroën’s commercial vehicles operations manager, remarked: “Throughout this year’s challenging conditions, Citroën has taken a positive and proactive approach to the LCV market. The success of this policy is reflected by the strong sales performance of our award-winning LCV range, the most modern and comprehensive available in the UK. Citroën’s technically advanced LCV range provides the cost-effective, fuel-efficient, low emissions performance and practicality the market requires. As our October LCV sales figures show, this combination of benefits is appealing to a growing number of business customers.”
In achieving its total October registrations, which accounted for more than 1 in 10 of all LCV sales during the month, all four core Citroën ranges performed strongly:-
- Nemo 260 registrations (15.84% of total sales)
- Berlingo 831 registrations (50.64% of total sales)
- Dispatch 310 registrations (18.89% of total sales)
- Relay 222 registrations (13.53% of total sales)
Once again, in very challenging conditions (total LCV sales down 18.55%), Citroën out-performed the market, beating its October 2008 LCV sales volume – finishing up 37% in the month year on year.
