Swansea ferry route gets green light

The Swansea to Cork ferry route will be re-launched next year following the purchase of a new vessel, the Julia, to service the route.

The West Cork Tourism Co-Operative Society Ltd has purchased the vessel at a cost of є7.8 million.

The Julia, which has the capacity to carry 440 cars and 30 HGVs is due to launch on the route next March.

    Many thanks for the mention. Just to you know the Julia is currently berthed at Hogan’s Quay in Cork Port. There is a lot of activity onboard getting ready for the 1st sailing in March 2010. http://www.fastnetline.com is the official website and we will have our prices on this website in a few weeks.
