Bibby Distribution has announced the appointment of Richard Morson into the newly created role of Finance Director.He will be based at the company’s headquarters in Duke Street, Liverpool, reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, Paul Kavanagh.
The Finance Director position has been created at Bibby to tie in with the company’s growth strategy, as well as strengthening its senior management capability.
Morson was selected due to his previous sector specific experience and most recently held the positions of Finance Director and Group Financial Controllerwith Norbert Dentressangle and TDG respectively.
With 11 years’ experience in the transport and logistics industry across a variety of group, commercial and operational finance roles, Morson has developed a substantial industry knowledge base.
“Richard is an advocate of the importance of finance as a value added service to the business through active business partnering,” said Paul Cullingford, Chief Financial Officer, Bibby Distribution. “He also has significant experience of change projects and new project implementations both internally and with large blue chip customers. He will be a strong addition to the team.”
