The DAF XF105 has won the Export & Freight Irish Fleet Truck Award 2012 at an awards ceremony in Belfast. The jury praised DAF’s top-of-the-range model for its reliability, fuel efficient design and driver comfort.
Ray Ashworth, managing director of DAF Trucks UK, received the award in front of 500 leading representatives from the transport industry at the award ceremony in Belfast . “This award underlines our strength in depth,” Ashworth said. “The Award for the XF105, judged by a panel of professional truck operators from Northern Ireland is gratifying the model’s sustained leadership in its class. The DAF XF is Europe’s best selling tractor thanks to its exceptional fuel economy and product quality!”
At the award ceremony the jury commented: “The DAF XF105 was designed as a no-compromise truck for fleets that need the lowest cost of operation and regard driver retention as important too.
