A20 resurfacing

September 3, 2010

The A20 is to be resurfaced at various locations around Dover to help improve the safety of the road surface and to help to keep the road in good condition for the future.

From Monday the work will move to the A20. Sections of the A20 will be closed during this work with clearly signed diversions in place.

John Burns, Highways Agency route performance manager for Kent, said: “The work is part of our ongoing investment in keeping our roads operating safely and reliably. This vital route carries a lot of heavy traffic. This work further improves the surface of the road making it safer for road users. Resurfacing the road now will reduce the need for the road to be closed for longer to maintain it in the future.”
