The European Commission is considering limiting trailer heights to four metres, according to reports emanating from Brussels.
It has been reported that the European Commission, as part of European Whole Vehicle Type Approval rules, is considering limiting the height of trailers and semi-trailers to just four metres.
It is understood that a detailed report will be circulated next month. If the proposal is adopted it would spell an end to so-called super cube trailers on Europe’s road, pushing up distribution costs.
