Jiffy Trucks, the UK’s largest manufacturer of mobile catering vehicles, has just launched its new Citroën Berlingo-based Panino model.
This innovative and competitively priced vehicle will make its public debut at the Food & Drink Expo (stand P210, NEC, March 21 – 24). Based on the Berlingo 1000 1.6HDi 90hp platform cab, the Panino is set to become Jiffy Trucks’ best-selling model, taking over the number one position from it’s highly successful Berlingo First based Fresco catering vehicle.
The financial and operational benefits of the Jiffy Panino are a product of the unique Berlingo platform cab, the only compact LCV of this configuration available in the UK. As such, the Berlingo platform cab enables Jiffy Trucks to produce, within a compact road footprint, the Panino body, which has high capacity ambience as well as heated and chilled food/drink compartments – allowing it to meet a wide range of mobile catering requirements from servicing business customers to sporting and other public events.
The Panino’s stainless steel space-framed body structure is completely insulated for optimum thermal performance. Externally, the Panino body has easy-clean, mirror-finish, ‘quilted-effect’ stainless steel panelling, while internally, high-specification, food-safe, white finish GRP panelling is used. For professional appearance and low maintenance the Panino’s oven and counters are surfaced with high specification stainless steel for optimum hygiene and long-life. New features introduced with the Panino include double-glazed warming and chiller cabinets to raise thermal efficiency levels.
